HYDROPLANTS Hydroenergetic system that would put in order the riverbed and tame the water mass and turn it into a power source, started to be built in 1946 with the water dam of 240 m in length and 34,5 m in height. Hydroenergetic system "Vlasina" is consisted of its four hydroplants, which gradually descend for 884,5 meters, "Vrla I", "Vrla II", "Vrla III" i "Vrla IV".  The Accumulation started to fill on 9th of April 1949 and in 1954 there were already 130 milions cubics of water. Today the lake takes the area of 16 km2 and represents the biggest and highest artificial lake in Serbia. |
