CLIMATE A rest on this lake is healthy for the body during winter and during the summer; in spring when the nature is awakening or in winter when it smells on snow. Vlasina under snow is an outstanding landscape. The climate on the lake is typical for mountains with short and dry summers and cold winters. The absolute maximal temperature of the air was recorded at 31,6 °C, and absolute minimal temperature was -31,5.  The january is the coldest with an average of -3 degrees, and the warmest is august with its average +16 degrees. The water in the lake gets even to 21 degree when it is pleasant for swimming. During the winter the ice covering is 30-70 cm thick. The frozen lake during the whole winter is covered with snow, mostly 2 meters high, and at some spots sometimes even more. |
